What Locals Say about Kirkside

  • Michaela Smart
"Don’t have any community events in the neighborhood, so I just stay to myself, nobody is nice everybody has attitudes, no privacy so hopefully I will be moving to a more nicer quiet bet "
  • Trulia User
"Gun shots all around the area, multiple times/week. Some in Kirkside, some in surrounding neighborhoods. Definitely not a safe and welcoming environment. "
  • Amy
"There is scattered access to public transportation, but the majority of the routes don’t feel safe or welcoming. "
  • Amy S.
"Many dogs are not kept on a leash or confined. Residents don’t seem to care if their dogs get loose and wander the streets. Animal control and roadkill are common sights here. "
  • Tony R
"I’ve lived in the neighborhood for over 30 years. People watch out for each other. On my block the ones that own their house take care of them."
  • Jessicahbbrown
"I have only lived here for a year and nothing unique about this neighborhood. I hear a lot of police sirens, guns going off there are a lot of trees around that don’t get picked until a week after the storm knocked them down. This neighborhood is a bit rough. The schooling is not too good, cars don’t pay attention to stop signs they zoom up and down the street all hours of the night. My neighbors have changed 3 times in the year I have been here."
  • "I lived not too far from this area and it is on the edge of a a subdivision. You get that country feel in the city. Quiet road."
  • "summit without the property taxes. community has churches that are very involved with community."
